Our story

It started with a friend, and a gift we couldn't find.

In Common began with a chat between friends. Someone we love was going through something monumental, and we wanted to send her something that actually meant something.

Everything we found was too polite. Lilies on the front, "thinking of you" in curly gold letters inside. We wanted to say what we'd actually say to her face: this is shit, and we love you.

We couldn't find it. So we made it.

And it's not just for the tough stuff. The good news deserves better than a card too: the new job, the new baby, the year sober, the "you actually did it". Sometimes "you absolute legend" says it better than "congratulations".

Around the same time, one of us was finishing yoga teacher training, and kept coming back to a simple idea: whatever you're going through, someone else has been there too. We have more in common than we think. Hence the name.

Every In Common bracelet is a natural stone chosen for the moment someone's in, with a note that says what you'd say if you were there in person. For the big moments, the hard weeks, and the just-because days.

Thank you for being here. It means the world.
